I'm A Spy - The EJOTY Language
Welcome to EJOTY!
Let's say, ohhh you're in high school and you want to communicate with just your group of friends in such a way that if your transmissions are intercepted by the teacher or the lunch lady, they won't get you into any trouble. Well that was my dilemma in 2002, so I wrote EJOTY-Z!
I wanted a simple language that did not require a key to decipher (in the case it was ALSO intercepted by the teacher or lunch lady) and one that required no memorization. EJOTY-Z can be taught to someone in less than five minutes and can be written and deciphered in no time at all. Here, you will get your chance to learn and write my invented code, in case you see it appear someday on an obscure website or on a folded piece of paper found inside a whine bottle.

Learn EJOTY!
- The first step is to understand the word EJOTY. The letter's, "E," "j," "O," "T," and "Y" are the base characters of the language and one of them are included in every character of the EjOTY language.
Here is the framework of the entire language: - E = 5th letter of the alphabet.
- J = 10th letter of the alphabet.
- O = 15th letter of the alphabet.
- J = 20th letter of the alphabet.
- Y = 25th letter of the alphabet.
- Z* = 26th letter of the alphabet.
*Z is the only special character of the EJOTY language. - EJOTY is entirely based on the English alphabet and a little bit of math. Each EJOTY character represents a letter location (1-26) of the alphabet. They are not symbols that need to be memorized. They can be directly deciphered simply by looking at one letter at a time.
- - This is the letter "E." You simply need to know that this is the first base letter of the language. You know it is first because of the single line in the character.
- - There are two lines represented in this character, so we know it is the second base letter of the language, "j."
- - And as we move across the base characters a line is added to the equation. This is has three lines, so it is the third base character, "O."
- - This has four lines. This is the fourth base character "T.".
- - This is the fifth base character.
- - This is the only odd character in the EjOTY language. The letter "Z" stands alone my friends.
- To get the other letters of the alphabet you simply add diagonal lines to the end of the base character. Each diagonal line represents "-1." Each base character (except "Z") has four children, so all together they make a family of 5!
- Here is the letter "E" with all of its children letters:
- Here is the letter "j" with all of its children letters and their equations:
= 10
= 10 - 1
= 10 - 2
= 10 - 3
= 10 - 4 - Here is the letter "O" with all of its children letters and their equations:
= 15
= 15 - 1
= 15 - 2
= 15 - 3
= 15 - 4 - Here is the letter "T" with all of its children letters and their equations:
= 20
= 20 - 1
= 20 - 2
= 20 - 3
= 20 - 4 - Here is the letter "Y" with all of its children letters and their equations:
= 20
= 20 - 1
= 20 - 2
= 20 - 3
= 20 - 4 - And here is the lonesome "Z" and its equation:
= 26
These represent the letters E-A. They work backwards from the base character. So the base character , with a single diagonal line attached to it like this, , would produce the equation "5-1." Now do the very difficult math... 5 minus 1 equals 4. The 4th letter of the alphabet is "D." This is how the entire language works. You find the base character of any given EjOTY character and subtract one letter from the base for every diagonal line present.
